AgoraEU (2028–2034): shaping the future of EU cultural funding
Information
In July 2025, the European Commission released the first proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF 2028–2034), including AgoraEU, a programme that will support culture, media, and civil society, building on the success of Creative Europe and CERV.
This session will provide timely insights into the evolving landscape of EU support for culture. Creative Europe Desks from Latvia and Portugal will present an overview of the AgoraEU proposal, highlighting key changes, questions, and perspectives from Creative Europe Networks.
A representative from Latvia’s Ministry of Culture will share practical experiences of engaging cultural and creative sectors in shaping national positions, offering concrete examples of participation, advocacy, and co-creation.
By connecting policy discussions with the lived experiences of cultural actors, the session emphasizes the role of communities and organisations in navigating Inner Work of Outer Shifts and contributing to cultural transformation across Europe.
Session moderators: Anastasija Konkina (CED/Creative Europe Desk, Latvia), Sara Machado (CED, Portugal). Guest speaker: Representative from Latvia’s Ministry of Culture (TBA).
